If slex keeps this up we will have a chance to compete for a superbowl. We have the best defense in the nfc right now, if Alex is ballin' and not hurting this team we'll be firing on all cylinders and capable of beating anybody.

Packers are the team to beat in the NFL. That being said we should win the division and maybe win a playoff game. However it wouldnt surprise me to see the niners in the NFC championship game. This game with Detroit will tell us more about out team. By the way that Thanksgiving game between the Niners and the Ravens is looking like a great game and going to be fun to watch the Harbaugh brothers going after each other. (I know its only mid Oct but that game looks great to me)

If he continues to play like he has in the first five weeks, we truly can win it all. I mean he truly is playing mistake free ball almost. He had nine TOs at this time last year to his one now.

And, we haven't even opened up the play book. As the season progresses, they will become more fluent in this scheme and he will be able to do much more when the play breaks down. There's still quite a few games where he could regress and it really is early.
However, it is more a testament to Harbaugh than Smith. I would expect us to do well in the playoffs once we get there.
What a difference a coach can make.

Do people talking about a first-round bye actually think we can finish with a better record than the Saints and Packers? I guess maybe our schedule is a little easier, but over the long haul--as great as Alex has been playing--I think Rodgers and Brees are still two QBs you have to count on as getting more wins and fighting for those top two seeds.

Who is slex? What happened to Alex? No he has to play like the last six quarters, if he plays like the first 3 games, we can easily get into trouble as in those games al it takes is one bad bounce.

Wasn't Alex playing well the last few games in the last season as well? Regardless of whether it's Harbaugh (which I think it is), there is certainly some improvement.
Let's hope he continues to improve, gives us a better chance to win the division.
