Harbaugh is very tight lipped during training camp and in his press briefings, but you can tell he is getting comfortable now with what he will and won't discuss. I like his briefings. BUT what I really liked the other day was his discussion of it taking 8 weeks to get bigger/louder speakers to simulate crowd noise. I love the fact that he got fed up with the adminstration taking 8 weeks to get speakers so he just got them himself from his buddy at Stanford.
When he was asked about why it took 8 weeks, he said something like "I don't want to get into it, it will just bring back my frustration."
You have got to love that about him, if someone around him didn't get the job done, he got it done himself AND let the admin/front office know he wasn't pleased that a simple thing like that took 8 weeks!!
Lastly, I love that when he put Kap in the game, he ran REAL plays, not garbage hand-offs. Great experience for the young QB in case he's needed.
I love his attitude.

I heard that too and thought is was funny. Love Harbaugh. I just hope this issue was with Stanford the entire time and not because the York's screwed this up. With Jed at the helm though, I doubt he would let that go on for so long without doing something about it.

I like Harbaugh I think he is one hell of a coach but I do fear that he will have a quick burn out. Dude seems to be wound very tight.

It sounded to me like the issue with the front office was with finding and purchasing the speakers - so JH borrowed them from Stanford.

You guys are right - I hope he can manage his stress. The best cure for that? WINNING. Then you can still work hard, but the stress is a lot less.

True that's why other guys work better in college. They can't handle the workload and non stop work. Time will tell.

no burn out ahead. The Harbaugh's were raised for this. It's all that they know.

Hard work now will set up a great foundation for a turn-key operation later. Nolan got skinny also, but that was for negative reasons due to stress and losing. He really aged the time he was here. Harbaugh is doing a lot of hard work now so that this team can function smoother in the long run.

He is laying the foundation, after this year and going into next year the foundation will be set and his job will get easier (relatively).

I doubt Sing ever put in the hours it takes to be a good coach. He probably thought if he prayed enough it would get us wins. lol
