4th wideout?

To all discussing T.O. It doesn't matter. Part of my point was to take him off the table. He can't play for probably a month and we will have edwards back by then. The question is do you go with an available ready to play vet like Housh? (if he is ready) or do you roll the dice on a practice squader or young vet like long or someone else? Do you just continue to play with three wideouts this week? Also the question is if you decide to go with 4 then do we need a big bodied guy like Houshmanzada or is a smaller reciever ok?

In all the scenarios T.O. isn't on the table because he is still hurt.
We need to pick up another WR regardless if Delanie is the 4th WR now. We are going to be really thin if Crabtree, Ginn, or Williams goes down.

I'd just sign Ziegler, Lance Long or one of the other guys we had in camp.

What was Ronald Johnson's problem? I kept hearing how great he was doing but it never translated to the field on game day. Just bring in Zielger.

Now there's an ironic comment.
Say hello to our 4th WR

Delanie to WR and Anthony Dixon to TE.

Solved, let us move on.
I miss BLloyd

Do you honestly think Delanie Walker can be a threat as a true wideout and Dixon as a TE? Oh wait...I think I see the sarcasm when I look closer.

Looks like Coach thinks we need a 4th. So the question stands. Who will it be? Looks like the long term too.

I would say Ziegler. A big name is not gonna mesh with the locker room and Zeek is familiar with the playbook. It's the smartest move.
TO is not a good option esp since he just got out of the hospital from intentionally trying to OD on Hydrocodone, and is supposedly suffering from depression, we don't need that cancer on our team not even for acouple weeks.

likely Ziggy. He has played the last 3 years, has some nice hands. Tearing his ACL last season hurt him in making the team this year, along with new coaching staff.
Looks like Ziggy is out. http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2011/10/niners-sign-wr-swain-to-a-one-year-deal.html
Swain eh? 6 foot 200. Has he played an NFL snap? I'm thinking stopgap/special teams value to get us through the bye then it's the Edwards show.
