Can we all please take the San Francisco 49ers seriously now?
At 3-1 and with their only loss coming in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys, it's time to look at the 49ers and realize that while this team isn't putting up record-setting numbers, they're winning.
Alex Smith is playing his best football under Jim Harbaugh, and a defense that has been solid over the past two seasons has taken the leap to being one of the best in the game. If both sides of the ball can keep this up, the 49ers should cruise to a playoff season.

The problem with all of these power rankings are that most of them are one person's opinion. In this case, Matt Miller, from the bleacher report. If you Google NFL power rankings, you'll find dozens of them. Even the Denver Post, where I live has one. At least ESPN's are averaged out among 5 writers and they have the 49ers at #16

There are a few hack writers who give us a bad name, but don't just discredit the article b/c of where it came from.
There are actually a bunch of fantastic writers who know exactly what they are talking about. It's just the b/r standards of who they allow to write for the site isn't all that impressive... It's a shame if you ask me.
