Just for fun.
In 2009 we were 3 - 1, beating two weak teams (SEA and STL), one good team (ARI) and one very close loss to a good team (MIN). And then we had a home game against a good NFC South Team (ATL).
In 2011 we are 3 - 1, beating two weak teams (CIN and SEA), one good team (PHI) and one very close loss to a good team (DAL). And then we had a home game against a good NFC South Team (TB).
It's obviously not a direct comparison, but I do remember the majority of the board feeling pretty good heading into week 5. Let's just hope the outcome is a little different this time. I doubt Harbaugh will lay as big of an egg as Singletary did.

It is still very early, so let´s just see how it shakes out.
However, there are some key differences:
In 2009, only one road win and that was in Arizona (where the Niners have always played tough). We already have two road wins now and even in back-to-back weeks. CIN might not actually be that bad, they are 2-2 and the defense just kept the Bills offense in check, which was playing very well so far. The SEA might be bad, but we now know that STL in 2009 was not only bad, but "1-15 and No 1 overall pick"-bad. Also, none of the 2009 wins was a thrilling come-from-behind victory that should actually go into the 49ers history books.
So I am optimistic about our chances that we will fare much better against Tampa in 2011 than we did against ATL in 2009

I believe we also lost Frank for about a month after that Minnesota game and had Glen Coffee as the backup.
I remember getting all excited in 2009 about the playoffs and will never do that again!
