I still have to watch the first half but based on the second half Smith played well. I'm not sure why the Smith haters are out in force this year since his play isn't the problem for the 9ers. All they have to go on is the old tired: "the coaches don't trust him" which is BS.

Sorry. haha I just had to make one post where I get my anger for Alex out. It has been released.

why are you mad at him, he missed 5 throws all game despite being hit 26 times. If you pin that on him you have a very stupid opinion.

why are you assuoming he cares that Alex threw 20-30 or what ever for 200 yards? just because you are satisfied with that performance doesn't mean he has a very stupid opinion.

he is probably just tired of the FO forcing Alex down his throat year after year. Look Alex fans here felt this would be a breakout game for him, after playing Dallas's defense last week....well he did ok, but more improtantly he played his best when we needed him on that last drive...

the problem is, with his first half performance...he will not be in position to win a game on the last drive, against good teams....because we would be down by more than one TD.

The only (big) positive is the win. The game was awful to watch, Gore was terrible, we committed too many penalties and the offense could not get going. Still, a win is a win. Excited about the secondary, though. Tarrell Brown had a good game, Carlos Rogers an excellent one and Spencer is back. Not bad !

Smith had a couple of bad throws in the first half.

We need Smith, as poor as he is, for games like this.. Where he can protect the ball and not throw it away like a rookie would. (Dalton - two INTs). Don't be ridiculous, and so classless to wish injury on our quarterback. I mean frick, man. That's some sick, messed up crap.

Considering, Alex played decent. I could point to 3 other areas that we should be more concerned about than Alex....unless you just want to hate on him for the sake of hating.

Yes! 2-1 when we should have expected 2-1...and the 9ers are playing like a highschool team. When they smooth out the edges and the OLine begins to play well this might just be a very good team. Smith was 20-30 with no picks with over 200 yards (wasn't that what people were criticizing last week? Didn't throw for 200 yards? Now it will be 300 yards.).
