If you read any of my posts yesterday, you would know i was saying the same thing. Its funny how much better how everyong looks when the QB plays lights out and makes things happen. With that said, yesterday was a total team effort. The Morgan play was amazing. Davis played like a champ for the TD. Gore with the dragging of Sameul into the endzone. Crabtree with the juke on Namdi. Hunter with his burner speed and quickness. And of course, Smith with his amazing ability to keep plays alive and find the open WR with great accuracy. P.S. I just realized I was in the Aldon thread. Sorry for being so off topic.

Had to move this. Josh Morgan was the most misrepesented WR on here. Still don't know why everyone thought he is/was slow. That was a big league high speed TD catching the slant and turning it into 5th gear to split the FS and take it up. He has very deceptive speed and it is near sub 4.4 being that he ran at 4.41.

I will no longer say morgan is slow, crabtree on the otherhand...

He ain't slow either. He's got NFL speed which is enough to take it to the house. Was it him who caught that fake and up pass and broke two tackles down field? One more missed tackle and he would have been gone.
Morgan's got a good burst to him, which was clear on the RAC for a TD. On the field, he's not in the DeSean Jackson realm though on 9 route speed, and not even on Maclin's realm.

Problem with Morgan wasn't speed, necessarily. It was the 2-3 bumbling mistakes per game... especially the deep passes that he doesn't track well in the past. He keeps playing like he did this Sunday, and I'll start looking at him as a solid starter again.

if he had more speed he would have been gone either way. He does have nfl speed, I just wish he had like teddy Ginn speed.

Man I'm so happy about our team, the Wr's the backs, the coaching... everything! (for this week)

So far we've beaten defenses that all rank in the top 20, including the #1 defense at there house, the Bengals. Yup that's right the Bengals have the #1 D, and get this Seattle's defense is ranked higher than ours at #13 I believe.

Cool info, thanks... it's all the more encouraging!
Our defense is giving up a lot of points, but for the most part makign stops when it needs to. can't ask for more than that.

Sure our offense hasn't looked the best this season, but the media doesn't give credit to the opposing defenses we've faced. And that's also gotta count to why we've also ranked #32 in total offense.

Or it can be that our anemic offense contributed to their high defense rankings
QB Alex Smith hooked up with TE Vernon Davis on a 9-yd. TD recept. in the 3rd qtr. Davis has now accounted for 21 of Smith's 55 career TD passes (38.2 pct.). Before the afternoon's games, Smith and Davis have the highest TD percentage among all active teammates (since 2001, with at least 20 or more touchdown passes thrown). The two have connected on a TD in 7 of the past 12 games.

I hope we draft a real RT this year, and slide davis to RG... Then we would have a monster Oline, or let kilgore have a shot at rg and let davis back up or replace staley at LT.
