back off,, he can take as much time as he wants,, besides i think he and the team already knows what he is going to do and its non of our beeswax one way or another

Yeah, Justin is way too classy of a guy to leave his team hanging.

They know and for various reasons they're not telling.

I agree that Cowboy is a good dude. The longer we go without an announcement, the more it seems ulikely that he's retiring, IMO. We can certainly handle him showing up late to camp. It doesn't make much sense for him to delay announcing his retirement if he's already told the team.

Maybe they have something in place where he doesn't have to show up for camp and a keeping it mum.

Wishful thinking on my part.
I think he plays but doesn't go to camp or preseason. Comes back early season. Why not let the youngsters play a lot in camp and during the preseason get them the reps they need.
i have a feeling he comes back, tears asses all year and wins superbowl MVP.
Tank should be ready to step in
I have to assume he's coming back.. with all the preparation that goes in to the draft, he would have made it public by now. Maybe not... maybe they want to keep it hush hush so other teams can't "pigeonhole" their draft pick. I hope that's not the case. Although, remember this: His snap counts have severely diminished the past 4 years:

2011: 92.6% 2012: 87.8% 2013: 73.3% 2014: 66.7%

I'd take 50% of him in 2015!

Personally we should just leave Justin alone...

I know he wants to play still (or he woulda announced his retirement already) but he just prolly tryin to feel how this teem under Tom Stash is... waitin to see the draft, I think we should send him a note and let him know that he can whatever he wants and take as much as he wants, because he's locker will already be saved and left alone for the entire 2015 season..

WIN WITH CLASS, remember?!?!

I think the use of cowboy here is similar to the old usage of (only if) "Gire"...

I found this quote funny:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/09/eric-reid-even-justin-smiths-wife-wants-him-to-come-back/

The effort to get him back apparently has some help on the inside as well with Reid reporting that Smith's wife is also in favor of her husband strapping on the gear for another year in the trenches.

When your wife says that she wants you to go back to work, it means that you aren't fun to be around in the house.

Or that an extra 8 million will come in handy down the road.
