I guess Goldson is beginning to become more aware of why the offers weren't flowing in during his brief moment of FA. There is some nice competition going on for once.

Yep and with him signing a one year contract I thought he would play great. I wonder if he is trying to overdue it to make turnovers which will get him that big contract he so desperately wants.

As much as I'm not a Goldson fan, the dude is learning a new defense as of the last two weeks. Hopefully he'll improve DRASTICALLY!

I have our 5 Safety's as; Goldson and Whitner as starters, Williams and Smith as backups, and Stillman as the perfect "swing safety"/ST demon..Taylor and Jones have PS eligibility..

It's always the same s**t...consistent play quite a bit..then he makes one bad play and everybody freaks.

Dude, our entire team played awful against Houston. Not ONE positive. Nothing.
Goldson's only problem is he bites on quite a bit of play action passes..leading to him getting beat deep.
For the most part, the guy is always around the ball...great in the run game..what did he have 94 tackles a few years back? Everyone loved him them.

Im not talking about Huston I'm talking about his whole career as a 49er, constantly whiffing tackles, i had high hopes for him but he makes no attempt to fix his main problem. He needs to break down and wrap someone up until then he will keep looking foolish. He is not a ballhawk, he's a wannabe, a huge liability.

Reggie is probably the best FS we've had in a long time, but the dude can never stay healthy.
