When is the next round of cuts?

Up-Front would like to say that I am not an Alex Smith hater. But he has looked worse this preseason than at any time since he was a rookie...the last time he played in a West Coast Offense...so I could guess you could say he's picking up where he left off.

Not saying it's going to happen, but I think it's possible after tonight's game. I know the O-line sucks this preseason, but he's missing on simple short timing throws that need to be made 80% of the time in the WCO.

Please ban this poster, this post is wrong in so many ways, it is just unbelievable, and I am someone who currently has 0 faith in Alex.

I'm bringing up the possibility that Alex Smith goes the route of Byron Leftwich -- nobody expected that cut.

are you watching the games or just looking at the box scores? dude has no time. that is not an excuse. he literally couldn't get to the end of his drop before he was getting hit tonight.... show me a QB that is going to succeed with that kind of pressure?

i'm not a big alex smith fan to be honest but tonight was a f**king pathetic performance by our offensive line and it didn't matter if we had alex smith, JT osullivan, tom brady or peyton manning back there, they were going to get their s**t pushed in by the texans.

I am in no way an Alex supporter, but this statement written by a guy named Shootme in the 49ers blog really made sense to me

(((Who? McCarthy got hired as a HC. Turner got hired as an HC, so Nolan’s hand was forced. Hostler was in no way cut out to be an OC. Nolan then brought in Martz… a year Smith missed with injury. Martz got canned because he didn’t believe in Sing’s offensive ‘philosophy’. NUMEROUS OCs turned down the SF job because of that ‘philosophy’ and sing hired an old school OC who never really had success in the league. Raye was canned because he was calling Sing’s game and Sing didn’t realize that Raye wasn’t the problem (raye sucked, but he was handcuffed). Johnson took over for Raye, but ran the exact same offense. Predictable.

I really agree with this.. This is the reason why I honestly think there is a small chance in hell Alex could still do well.. Go niners!!! have faith its only one bad game hell even the pats got blown out by the lions!!!! lool
