If Harbaugh works out, this could be the start of a very stable era in the coaching, allowing the system to mature and the players to become well versed in it. The 49ers numerous coaching changes have surely contributed to their problems over the years.
I don't know if Fangio or Roman have head coaching aspirations, but Harbaugh brought them over from Stanford and it's just possible they view themselves as a team that can stick together for several years. I definintely belive Harbaugh and Balke feel that way.
I think the coaching will be stable because they will get results. This could be the best draft in recent memory (with Balke in full control), they did a fine job in free agency, and recovered nicely from the 'welcome to the NFL, rook' treatment from the Saints. But I'm probably too optimistic in nature.

i hope you are right and JH stay here for a decade (that equals wins), just looking at the 2nd preseason game i saw these players do things they havent done for 7 or 8 years, 49er football to cut a long story short, i too wanna go back to the days were the players coming in already knew the things they would have to learn in order to play with us. Production by position not by names..

the only one I can see leaving is Jim Leavitt, he might get offered a College gig again.
at this time in his career, I think Fangio will be the DC for Harbaugh for his tenure.
Roman will be here for a few yrs, if we spark, he will get some bites, i think we have 3 yrs at least with Roman.
Seely is a underdog. idk if he is interested in a HC gig, so He may stick around for a while.
Tomsula is a guy I want kept, i dont care, if we need to pay raise him do it. He has made Sopoaga, RJF and McDonald into something good.

Personally I dont think any of these men are NFL HC material. Maybe Leavitt but thats probably only in college.

It really doesn't matter if we lose Roman because it's Harbaugh's offense -- just as it was the Walsh offense.
Remember? Under Walsh, it didn't matter who was offensive coordinator. They changed every two to three years. And every new guy that Walsh brought in to be OC? That person learned the Walsh West Coast Offense. Pure and simple. Walsh kept it going.
That's the way it's going to be under Harbaugh, provided Harbaugh works out.
Jury is still out on the man. Still -- he's got three -- maybe four years now with the lockout -- to prove himself.
For the first time in a decade, losing an offensive coordinator will not DOOM this team to the cellar.

The only one I've ever heard mentioned as a future HC candidate is Seely, so I could live with that. If you're going to lose a coordinator, let it be Special Teams.
