Pretty much love the whole draft class (but Person's getting cut). Other guys:

1) Reggie Smith: SOOOOOO much more confident and capable than last year. Bummer he got hurt.
2) Alex: Quick decisions, looking off safeties, and WHERE did this accuracy come from on the quick, short routes?
3) Damarcus Dobbs: Big stuff from the UDFA
4) Tramaine Brock: See comment on Reggie Smith
5t) Larry Grant: Not even the same guy we cut in 2008. MUCH more physical, playing much faster/smarter
5t) NFL Network can do it, so can I-- Navorro Bowman: The hesitation is gone, dude can BALL!

To be fair, we didn't cut him. He was put on the PS and plucked off by the Rams. Obviously they didn't know how to use him.

He never made the final 53. We had to cut him from the active roster in order to put him on the practice squad.

Lucky Jim Jones is not alive and on this board. Easy pickings. Crazy easy.

I could be wrong(if I am, I apologize), but your post seems to infer that many here are drinking the proverbial "Kool-Aid" in regards to some of our player evaluations. Do you have a different top 5 surprise players?

Whether they're a surprise in your opinion or not is irrelevant when their draft value was most likely questionable.
Are we referring to any of the players specifically?

Bruce Miller he's gonna finally rid us of that under grown guard Norris.

and then in 3 weeks you'll complain about how bad miller is
Much of what we are seeing is the result of good coaching.

The problem has been that the coaching HAD been so bad that we expected, and received, the worst from most picks and pick-ups. As a result, we are now surprised when players play like they can due to good coaching. We shouldn't be surprised by this, however, due to prior circumstances, we just don't quite know how to react.

Miller also seems to be a better receiver

Man I was SO pissed when he couldnt handle that short pass, that was SIX, but he F&cked up bad on that play.... I wanted him gone after that ...Miller can at least catch the damn ball

In his defense that was a terrible pass.

It became a terrible pass when Norris turned completely around when the pass was meant to follow his momentum into the endzone.

1.) Kyle Williams is a great run and and support the our team offensive.

2.) Kilgore is a great block and make them for open when RB found it in there the hole for open.

3.) Culliver must a Coverage the WR and not allow the td or too much the yards..

4.) Bruce Miller is very good at Block and better catch the ball for offensive score.

5.) Alex Smith is very...... Very Possible for Surprising If He is show the real?! Let's go Niners!

I feel good about our team and fit for bulider up all good everydays...

Well said Buzz, I agree 100%.
Just to have a little fun with it, a list of unpleasant surprises:

1. Aldon Smith: so far not looking like an impact player
2. Anthony Davis: still can look like a turnstyle, false starts, etc.
3. Delany Walker: still drops too many passes
4. Crabs a no-show again
5. Scott McKillop: looks like he'll be beaten out by Grant.
Top Five most surprising:

1. Chilo Rachal - Come on nobody thought he was going to have a "great camp"
2. Kendall Hunter - He hits the holes really hard, and gets upfield quickly - reminds me alot of Jamal Charles or Chris Johnson lite.
3. Anthony Davis - Surprised that he is still struggling so much
4. Taylor Mays - I'm surprised that he is gone
5. Tedd Ginn - I'm shocked that he has had a good camp

"Ball placement" look it up, learn it, then teach it to alex smith.

Nice try but there is no excuse for not catching that
1. Chilo Rachal - Come on nobody thought he was going to have a "great camp" - This
2. Kendall Hunter - He is quick, shifty, has powah
3. Anthony Davis - Surprised that he is still TRASh
4. Taylor Mays - Expected this to be his breakout season, sad we dont' get to see his development
5. Culliver- I'm glad we finally have someone with high upside in our SECONDAry, we might be good to go one day.

If he is bad then yes I will complain about him.

doesn't matter, miller and norris won't be on the field, because we will go single back, or have dwalk as the hback. Also, alex smith will be slinging the rock around, throwing for 350 yards a game the first 3 games of the season!!!

Nice

That would be lovely.
Anthony Davis pisses me off. Why does he still suck?

He is just starting his second year and was as raw as a rookie can be, he will get better.
