"Ball placement" look it up, learn it, then teach it to alex smith.

He shouldn't have stopped running. I was there. Alex threw to where he would have been if he just kept plodding along into the endzone. Instead, the idiot stops, turns around, and backpedals. Ridiculous. It'd be funny if it was someone else's team.

QB should know who they are throwing to and the angle of the throw. Alex turned it into an over the shoulder grab to a stiff full back. Norris was WIDE OPEN. No need to leed for a perfect throw.

Pretty much love the whole draft class (but Person's getting cut). Other guys:

1) Reggie Smith: SOOOOOO much more confident and capable than last year. Bummer he got hurt.
2) Alex: Quick decisions, looking off safeties, and WHERE did this accuracy come from on the quick, short routes?
3) Damarcus Dobbs: Big stuff from the UDFA
4) Tramaine Brock: See comment on Reggie Smith
5t) Larry Grant: Not even the same guy we cut in 2008. MUCH more physical, playing much faster/smarter
5t) NFL Network can do it, so can I-- Navorro Bowman: The hesitation is gone, dude can BALL!

Do rookies past the 2nd round really count here? I mean, they are automatically a surprise since they are rookies. That surprise really isn't a surprise. The surprise should be a player that we had no idea would play better from previous play.

Do you think we are getting just a bit too critical when we are criticizing a QB for making a perfect throw? Moran Norris has been in the league a long time. He should know to keep running to open space IN THE ENDZONE. He stopped just outside the endzone, and as slow as he is, someone probably could have tackled him from ten yards away before he tucked the ball away and ran one yard. Alex dropped the ball a couple of yards in the endzone. I could have caught it, and that is in no way a compliment to myself.

1) Bowman - Thought for sure we'd have a few more growing pains with TKO leaving, but this guy has been sharp so far this year.
2) Brooks - I thought Smith was taken to replace Manny. Turns out Brooks took that job and ran with it.
3) Boone - Really happy for this dude. Goes from a character issue UDFA to challenging a 1st rounder for a position.
4) Miller - Thought it would take more time for this guy to get the hang of offense. Fullback who can catch = weapon.
5) Edwards - I've gotten excited over some FA WRs before (Bryant, Jackson, Bruce), and usually been disappointed. The guys I mentioned were talent upgrades, but Edwards looks like he's going to be an actual difference maker.

Honorable mention: Dobbs - Saw him play while he was here at UGA. Never really struck me as NFL guy, certainly not as a 3-4 lineman, but he's been really solid the first couple of games. Hope he at least makes the P-Squad, maybe even the 6th lineman.

This exactly.

Or Norris thought that he was so wide open, why not slow down to make sure he doesn't run the play out of bounds. Then he realized the ball wasn't going to be to his front shoulder for an easy turn and catch but directly over his head. Then misjudging the trajectory, he thought he would turn around to make a grab above the head.

They tell QB's no to make it perfect if they see a blown coverage deep down the field and they are trained to just make sure they don't over throw it. No need for Alex to throw a corner fade. It was a quick out to the flat and he should have flattened the throw to the shoulder.

IMO if we would have scored on the play we probably would have won that game. It may have some how changed the entire year.

yeah, this.

Also Kilgore, Miller, and Bowman. Frankly, there's quite a few surprises on this team, including pretty much our entire draft class.
Yeah it's amazing how many surprises unfold when you have a coaching staff that doesnt have H.U.A.S.
last year I said Brock can be a starter in the league, while that is yet to be seen, he is on his way. So I am not surprised by him. I like Hunter, but I love Dixon. So I hope Dixon gets hiss stuff together. Rueland and Kilgore are surprises to me. Braylon also seems better than I thought. I Expect Williams to be our D Jax eventually. Chilo is looking good, he's my biggest surprise.
It's got to be Hunter. He is like Jim Brown and Barry Sanders rolled into one.

His skill is only matched by Kilgore, who is clearly the next Anthony Munoz.

I hope so. I am one of the most positive people on here, but it's way to early for that.
