dtg, your comment re: craps is one i responded to in the thread on Ruehler(sp?), as making the team and eventually starting. Why? Well a) because he can catch anything thrown at him, and b) craps has an attitude that is, well crappy. It was obvious all last yr, in between spectacular catches, but basically i just don't think the guy is a team player(yes i am still POed that he held out half a yr), but that aside, your point about him not helping alex out is well taken. JH won't stand for that, and if Craps pulls that krap again, he will be our #4 WR, or traded to someone else for a starting CB.

In Harbaugh's offense he (Crabtree) better pick up his game and block and make his reads. He should since in the spread type offense he came from is predicated on a WR adjusting their routes to a defenses coverage. Otherwise he will be outta here like Mays, especially if the other WR play working mans type of football-by that I mean Hines Ward like or better yet Jerry Rice. Not Moss like.

Pasodoc--I agree that Harbaugh will demand accountability from receivers as well as QBs. He and Roman are not afraid to criticize a player when a mistake is made because they develop honest relationships with players. Singletary and Nolan were not hands on with the offense because they didn't know enough to be hands on. Their relationships were one step removed and aloof, so criticism seemed unfair and inaccurate.
Would love to hear what team mates from Texas Tech have to say about Crabtree in light of his attitude in SF. Did he run the team in Texas? Still hope he is just not up to speed yet and will rise to Edwards challenge of being the number one. If he can't I think the 9ers are still improved with Edwards and Morgan starting.
