It's too early in pre-season to judge Dixon , but definitely too much dancing and indecisiveness in that game. Didn't he injure his ankle earlier in practice ? I thought at least in N O , Hunter did look more intriguing.

Hunter by a mile...He has the vision and burst to make it in this league. Dixon? Hit the hole, son.

I can't tell yet. I liked Dixon at times last year but he is still very inconsistant. Hunter seems to have the moves but its very early. Hopefully, the pre-season sorts this out for us but I'm happy with the two of them backing up Gore.
I'm really worried about the FB position on this team. I can't figure out why we still have Moran on this team. He is a horrible fit for the WCO. Way to stiff and not a great pass catching fb, which the WCO must have! Sure hope one of the other fb's gets a chance and stands out in the pre-season so we can say goodbye to Moran.

No way this poll should be brought up after one preseason game... give it half of the regular season or at least until the end of preseason. With that said, I'm not big on Dixon. He doesn't look powerful or explosive for his size. Also, he doesn't have enough speed. To top it off he dances around way too much. He needs to be decisive. He did pretty good last preseason, but his YPC in the regular season was garbage. Not sure what he brings to the table... also, I haven't seen him catch much out of the backfield.
Hopefully Hunter will be that change of pace back we need.

The dancing behind the LOS is gonna get Dixon cut, cant be successful with that style at this level anymore, defenses are just too fast..

I love hunter's style, I think he'll light it up against the raiders or texans(assuming our o-line doesn't collapse again) and win the #2 job over dixon. Maybe dixon does improve, he was a big preseason guy last year, but I hope hunter gets more carries and reps...
Adding 10-15 pounds was definitely stupid.

Did they ask him to get ready to play fullback?

No, the lockout must have taken its toll on Boobie Dixon...

you're right about that. we might need to bring in an FA if hunter can't do it either.
