Matthews knows the system, so he's a good camp body to have around
Hastings is healthy, and also has had some time to learn the system

Niether will make the 53, but good to have camp bodies that are healthy and have some time in the system

I think our WR group will look somthing like this

X/Split end- Moss, backed up by a rookie ( I predict Childs from Arkansas in the 3rd)
Y/Slot- Manningham
Z//Flanker- Crabtree, Williams

I like Williams, but I think he may be inactive alot unless someone gets injured, since Moss, Manningham, Crabs and the rookie will probably be active on gamedays, Ginn will be active as well

barrows actually mentions that in his article about it, pointing out how Byham and Holcomb both stayed in the bay area to rehab unlike Bogan, it probably did play a role in it but who knows how much, I find it interesting that he was pretty much the UDFA that we went after the hardest besides Ian Williams and we're giving up on him so there has to be something that happened behind closed doors to facilitate the release.
