There can be some silver linings here. 1. Rachal wasn't ready to play today so this might give kilgore a chance to become the primary back up at guard.

2. The niners should evaluate some of the blocking schemes because a RB should not have to run across the LOS and try to block a DE. There were some schematic breakdowns in pass protections.

3. The first time the offensive plan seemed to be ineffective. Crowd noise, ravens beating one on one assignments or lack of proper depth at the o line, or maybe Gore is injured more than he is letting on to believe, regardless a couple of tweaks here and there can put this team in a better spot to win in a similar environment.

4. Maybe its time for hunter to get more of the work load especially runs between the tackles. Gore seems a little slow right now, I think it's from his injury.

5. Can't really say anything about the defense, they punched the ravens in the mouth time and time again. Keep it up.

I agree with that. Was watching the postgame and Suggs and John both gave us props for how tough we are. This loss by no means does anything to our season except help us fix what we need to fix before the playoffs.

Short week, traveling to the east coast across 3 time zones. It was honestly a recipe for disaster.
why lock? it's a good post. this game is a good reality check. we aren't a dominant team yet. we didn't just get beat today we got completely dominated at the line of scrimmage. THe good thing though is that the game was still with in reach. we got a bad call on our touchdown that brought it back, they got a score on a ridiculous pass interference call. and alex missed a potential touchdown throw at the end of the first half which was intercepted instead and cost us the fieldgoal. that one play alone is a 10 point swing. this game was winnaable if we had just made a couple plays, unfortunately we didn't make any whiere as the raven's Dline made play after play after play, sack after sack after sack. asmith going to need the long week to recover from this one LOL.

That chopblock call that took away Ginn's TD was a game changer for sure.........BUT.......so were the 9 sacks our OLine gave up to zero their OLine gave up.
Great game...tough loss. Hope we learn. This will be an issue getting into the playoffs. Playing like this won't get us far. I'm an idealist, but a realist. I'm sure you've heard analysts saying we won't win without putting more points on the board. Playing tough teams like the Ravens or Steelers, putting up field goals ain't going to cut it.

If you were to ask me at the beginning of the season how would you feel being 9-2 at Thanksgiving, I would be stoked! This is a great year. We'll keep building on it.

We still play 'em. Let them talk, we'll do the talking in the field.

I disagree and you should too. They are not the better team. Do not lay down and accept this

To be honest, I really believe we would have won if we stuck to a 50/50 run/pass offense. Jim and Greg somehow decided that our O-line was like the Colts's, and that Alex was like Rodgers or Brady.

I disagree. Frank Gore was doing nothing and this is the Ravens run defense we're talking about here. We just got outplayed. I don't think it matters what they could have done.

You missed my point. 50/50 not because Gore/Hunter would break long runs for TDs. 50/50 for balanced attack so their defense couldn't play purely vs pass. We beat the Bengals who have a better run-defense, and in that game we were much closer to 50/50. BTW, in that game, we only rushed for 50 yards.

Then you should have made your original point clearer with the views that you just mentioned.

Hey from Baltimore. Not here to talk any trash. What a tough ass team you all have!!! Hate to see ya all at the big dance if we get there. Best of luck to you. You all remind me of the 2000 Ravens D! Cheers!

Hey man, really cool of you to come over here and say that, you could've easily gloated, and I'd agree with you if you had.

Here's to wishing for a rematch in the Feb.. for Harbowl part 2.0... ;)

This is how we should all be feeling right now........Looking at the upside verses the downside thinking we suck and its over. I really feel this loss makes us better and gets us ready for the playoffs.
