You guys keep underselling the Bucs. I live down here. I get to see all of their games, at least the ones not blacked out. That's a good football team. "Good" by today's standards.
If I had to compare Freeman as a player it would be Roethlisberger as far as arm and ability to extend the play. The Bucs are very physical on both sides of the ball. Not saying this is a loss, but that they present a different challenge from the teams the 49ers have faced thus far.

Freeman is a much lesser version of Vick, as for Blount, we'll just punch him in the mouth like he's famous for, our Run D will shut them down. We have a better chance beating the Bucs than the Lions. I see us going 1-1 in the next two games, Lions may be too tough to beat and it's an away game for us.
BUT
The Lions have had to come from behind twice after being down by more than 20 points so they can be scored against. Again it'll be the defense that keeps us in the game but our running game that wins it. It's very possible we could go into the buy week with a 5-1 record.
Agreed, 5-1 is more than most of us could've asked for. Winnable game, but unsure which Alex Smith will show up in Detroit as well as which O-Line shows up, too.

I agree. I think this will be a tough game. If anyone doubts that, think back to last year. Yeah, Singletary was the coach, but we were able to score on other teams with him leading us. It was a solid effort by a young 10 win team that blanked us. They've had another year to mature too. I'm not sure we win this game despite it being at home and a short week for them.
I really think we're in trouble if we start slow like the last 4 games this year.
