Negative ghost rider.
Blunt won't do jack against our run D....no way. Freeman will have to have a monster game.
I gotta give it up though, once Blount gets going, he is one of the hardest dudes to bring down.

But too bad for the Bucs they rely heavy on the run, and everyone already knows...NO ONE RUNS ON THE 49ERS FRONT 7!!

I will be really surprised if the Bucs don't come out passing, after seeing how many yards Vick threw against us.

If I had to compare Freeman as a player it would be Roethlisberger as far as arm and ability to extend the play. The Bucs are very physical on both sides of the ball. Not saying this is a loss, but that they present a different challenge from the teams the 49ers have faced thus far.
I agree. People on this board think we are bad ass all of the sudden lol. We put together 2 bad ass quarters. Hopefully we can continue it though
I know that personally I originally marked this game as a loss , but after watching MNF it should still be a tough game but I like our chances at home and probably on some wet grass. The Colts were able to get some runs and Alex Smith is much better than Painter IMHO. If the OL can play as well or better than they did in the Philly game , then I like our chances. The key is the OL in pass protection and run blocking , they have to do both well again. Freeman is mobile and is big and difficult to bring down easily , a slightly different challenge than Vick's freaken speed.

Yeah, Alex has been playing with a lot of confidence. You can see it in his decision making and his tempo hes playing with

if we can't run and we don't get some major pressure on Freeman, this is gonna be a long game for us.
We're coming in HAWT! Look out Bucs.

I agree. I think this will be a tough game. If anyone doubts that, think back to last year. Yeah, Singletary was the coach, but we were able to score on other teams with him leading us. It was a solid effort by a young 10 win team that blanked us. They've had another year to mature too. I'm not sure we win this game despite it being at home and a short week for them.

I really think we're in trouble if we start slow like the last 4 games this year.

We have a better chance beating the Bucs than the Lions. I see us going 1-1 in the next two games, Lions may be too tough to beat and it's an away game for us.
I'm plenty confident we'll stuff their run game too. They'll have to pass to beat us. And I'm more confident in beating the Bucs than the Lions.

BUT

The Lions have had to come from behind twice after being down by more than 20 points so they can be scored against. Again it'll be the defense that keeps us in the game but our running game that wins it. It's very possible we could go into the buy week with a 5-1 record.

Agreed, 5-1 is more than most of us could've asked for. Winnable game, but unsure which Alex Smith will show up in Detroit as well as which O-Line shows up, too.

That is still surreal to even accept! I LOVE It!
no arm tackles on blunt because he can break one and take off.

agreed. It's going to be a tough physical game. Blount will take it to our run defense. Also I know that the offense probably wont start as hot as we ended last week. The offense really wasn't opened up Alex just didn't check down as much and when he did Hunter or someone would get him some yards out of it. It will be tough.

With only 1 INT and 1 Fumble lost...that's the AS I pray shows up. He's due for a bad game, hoping it's not anytime soon.
I can promise you this, come Sunday, a Blunt will be smoked one way or another....
