Feels great to have a coach that good players want to play for

it was said players liked playing for Singletary
Kurt Warner didn't want to. In fact Kurt saw what we had, and had seen enough to go back to Zona without any regrets.
That's another thing I'm noticing, we're bringing in players that will fit our system, and these players almost know instantaneously they have a chance to succeed in our system, and love what they're seeing on the practice field.
Kurt woulda made us a playoff team though

He's considered a top tier coach. And he knew Edwards' family and dad apparently.

Warner was the most visible guy to back off from coming here, but we can assume agents warned off other players and that word got out around the league very quickly that this was a strange situation.
You can bet Singletary pulled out the religion card with Warner, but even that didn't work.
Don't forget that some coaches backed off as well, leaving poor old Raye to be the scapegoat.
JH is obviously a great recruiter, but he also offers a system in which players can succeed, with roles that suit their talents. Success is fun of course, but it also translates to having a longer career and making more money. If I was a player or an agent I would want JH to call me! You can bet many are calling him.

I think its great when players like a coach, I think its even better when they believe in a coach. I don't think that the team was ever sold on Singletary's bill of goods but Harbaugh has assembled a formidable, experienced and highly talented stuff that does demand respect. There's a clear path and plan in place for this team to succeed and you can see early that a lot of guys are buying into it and willing to go all out for that vision.
Its something neither Nolan nor Singletary ever had, or could not sell convincingly, Harbaugh doesn't have that issue and if guys believe in you, truly believe in you, it goes a long way to producing a successful football team.
