Thats nothing money. Glad to have him back at that price.

Anyone still wondering why we didn't sign him ten days ago when all the Junior GM's were in full hand-wringing mode calling Ballke a clueless idiot?

We had our value on him, and he thought he was worth more. On top of that, Reggie was doing well in camp and we got Witner. This signing was a plan c or d for both the Niners and Dashon. Admittedly, he ate some humble pie once he hit the market. The Niners just waited it out until they got what they wanted.

Woow, I was really not expecting that. I wasn't happy with his comments, but I am glad now we got him. Now I am just wondering whats the Niners Plans on the Secondary line up.

Another good move by baalke. He called goldson's bluff and he came crawling back. Makes him look bad when he already said goodbyes via twitter

If Reggie is kit seriously injured, he and Golden should fight it out for the free safety spot.

Goldon, Godson, etc. Who cares about currekt spelin? We no who yuo meen!

On a side note, this re-signing for a one year deal makes no sense. Career-wise, he would've been better off in NE. Playoff team and their D would make him look better than he really is...strong in run support and good tackler, weak in man-to-man coverage (see Saints game, MNF). Then, he could've re-signed with them or test FA after a year for more dough.

Unless there's some truth to the injury rumors, I'm still trying to figure this one out, especially since Goldson wasn't exactly the model player with some of his quotes on Twitter about the organization.

maybe look good on ne defense a few years ago. but ne was the 30th ranked pass defense in the nfl last year. they were down right terrible and were ranked 32nd for much of the season.

it makes perfect sense to stay here and showcase your skills in a much better defense. this makes sense on both sides of the fence.

Geez, I didn't know NE was THAT bad last season...wow! I guess their offense scoring points kept them in the lead most of the time then.

yeah they were ka ka... you know what they say though, the best defense is a great offense and they surely have that.

I dont think he bashed the Niners, He was just frustrated that he didnt get the interest that he expected, maybe damaged ego a bit

As far a the Pats go, Im also surprised he didnt take that oppurtunity (if it was offered) He may just like living in the Bay area, west coast roots, friends on the team, the Niners may have made it clear they want to work out a long term contract

Maybe that was one of the main reasons why stayed here instead of going to NE...assuming that was discussed. Maybe the coaching staff wanna see if Goldson can put up stats like he did two years ago and/or how he performs in Fangio's aggressive scheme. Then, if he does well, the long-term contract will be discussed in the off-season...that is unless he tests the FA market again which will be flooded with a lot of one year expired contracts.

This may be a very good move for Goldson. He might be a good tandem with Whitner. Maybe he will play a little smarter with Whitner. Cause Goldson has the physical talent.
