Fitz, Doucet, Todd Heap, & Beanie Wells are about as good a combination as Williams, Rice, Carlson, & Lynch, if not better.

And I love how this thread throws out the most important position in an offense just because its our weakest point.

Beanie and Heap are major injury concerns

Yeah but Bradford is the only one that really sticks out as being any better than the rest. I put us at the top because we lost our first 5 games last season. If it weren't for that we would have been in the playoffs. I think we added the most to our team out of the division. Not to mention a better coaching staff I hope.

It's close between all 4 teams though. QB or not.

Rice has played all 16 games exactly once in his career, too. Williams was cut several times before he put together one decent season. And Lynch is overrated.

Miller, not Carlson, starts at TE for them now, though. I forgot he signed there.

That's probably true. Bradford would give the Rams an edge if he had more than just Steven Jackson around him. He does get Avery back and I read they're working to re-sign Clayton, though.

People really need to stop acting like Gore misses half the season every year. Last year was the only time he's ever missed more than 2 games in any season and it was an injury that he's never had before, so it's not like he has chronic problems with the same body parts every year. Besides sprained ankles, which he usually plays through, he doesn't get injured nearly as often as people make it out to be.

Before last year, Steven Jackson had missed WAY more time than Frank Gore as a starter. Not to mention the fact that Gore was on pace to match Jackson's numbers on the ground and almost double Jackson's receiving numbers, while playing in a worse and more predictable offense with the worst coaching in the league.

I'll take Gore over Jackson any day.
LOL. Minus the quarterback. The hell is the point?
1. 49ers (solid RBs, best TE, good WR, very good line)
2. Seattle (good line, good WR/TE, blah RBs)
3. Cards (Fitz, good RBs)
4. St. Louis (SJax)

Jackson has way over 300+ carries each of the last two years.

It's like watching a car rapidly approaching a cliff...

Imo this thread should just be "minus the rams" LOL, because it's not fair that they actually have a good QB that's only going to get better . He's definitely going to dominate with new weapon upgrades like mike-sims walker and also one of the best tight ends in the 2011 draft.

So since the rams are pretty much f**king us next year no matter what, it's between cards, us, and seachickens.

Alex smith vs Kolb vs Jackson = It's a sad lot when Alex smith actually has the best stats out of these guys in previous years, even if kolb has potential, neither of those guys had as good of a qb rating as smith nor post the yards/game he has.

Then we head to receivers, where we look at the top two weapons:
Edwards+crabtree vs fitz+roberts vs rice+williams
If you include Rice's magic year with favre, seattle looks amazing, if you don't...Edwards whomps anything else rice has ever done. Crabtree beats williams as well(only 2 tds). Fitzgerald obviously is amazing, but their #2 options suck, so if you combine crab+edwards their stats will be way higher than fitz+some scrub.

So we actually have the best wide receivers among those 3 teams, then we head to tight ends...
Vernon Davis vs Zach Miller vs...J king? Cards TE's never get the ball thrown to them so it's Davis vs Miller. It was actually close last season, but only because davis had an off year compared to his previous 11 td season. Davis is simply the better red zone man, a complete beast.

Edit: almost forgot RB's Lol. Got so focused on passing.
Gore vs lynch vs beanie wells... No contest there.

All in all: Niners are the 2nd best offense in the NFC west. If we can get alex smith closer to bradford level, or if we can just sack the hell out of bradford, we could win the division.

Its sad we have to minus the qb...that should just prove we needed to remedy our qb situation these past 5 years
We have pretty good talent on paper but QB is pretty important.
