Well technically if we drafted a Stephen Hill(or whoever), and we signed a Meachem type guy, we already have Crabtree, so that would kind of make him #4. Maybe # 3 until the rookie learns enough.

I'm not even the OP but how is that a Pipe Dream. Crabs is a check. We have the #30 pick and it is a good chance we will take a wr so that just leaves picking up a FA WR that will produce better than Morgan.

I expect either one of the following to happen:
Draft WR with #30, sign Morgan
Draft WR with #30, sign other UFA WR and let Morgan walk

Don't think we'd draft a WR, sign Morgan and another UFA WR

3rd Option - Sign Morgan, Sign another WR, and draft another position with #30

I think this is the most likely scenario at the moment.

His best season was BARELY better than crabtree's 11 game rookie season. Hell, even that is arguable. The homerism with 49er players (except for crabtree and Smith who the consensus says sucks no matter what) is a bit crazy.

Morgan is solid, He was looking decent this season but he's not that great and losing him wouldn't do much to hurt this team considering that we're likely to draft or sign a guy who is better than him.

Thats my thinking. I think the Niners have as good a chance as anyone to sign Vincent Jackson or possibly get Wallace for a first round pick. We'll definitely draft a receiver in the first few rounds as well. I guess he could possibly be the third receiver but I think the coaching staff is higher on Kyle Williams (to much of so many here's dismay) and they'll keep developing him. Morgan is solid and good for what he is but if he went to a team with 2 or 3 good WR's he wouldnt be a factor. He's a lot like what Arnaz Battle was here.

If Carlos Rogers leaves, who do you like to replace him (free agent and/or draft)?

I like Aaron Ross and Tracy Porter in free agency both are young, talented and should be cheaper pick ups. I like Gilmore in the draft in the first round or Trumaine Johnson in the second.

Was thinking we might take a shot at Finnegan, he got tagged. Bowe got tagged as well, so maybe brandon carr? dont know the $$ hes wanting but he was/been a good corner.

Culliver would start, and we would use one of our first 3 picks on a CB


But I'm hoping we keep Rogers and add more depth at CB

oh i retract my previous statement, i guess finnegan didnt get the tag.. i think we might be in the mix for him to be honest
