The #49ers also are one of the players for Ravens free-agent cornerback Chris Carr, who has multiple suitors including Balt & Jax.

Saw that aswell, if we cant get any of the big 3 CB, Carr would be a nice consilation prize

RT @NateClements: BIG s/o to my former teammates and the fans for all of their support...i enjoyed playing for the 49er Faithful

One of my favorite 49ers in recent years. Nate will be missed by some of us.

I feel ya, he wasn't one of the best players (as we had hoped for), but man his tweets were hilarious, and he was always entertaining & friendly at training camps!

I was also reading the other day that Carr wants to start and that that is the main sell he wants to hear from a team.

Looking at our roster, I would say he wouldn't have much trouble finding a starting spot here.

I don't hate him, but I cant say we are buds either. The whole Alex you-know-who debacle seems to have ruffled some feathers. He has been ignoring me for a while now.

RT @NateClements: I wud like to thank the 49ers organization for giving me the opportunity to play for a team with history and tradition.

i sent him a message on twitter saying the 49er fans are glad he's gone
49ers fans staying classy.

I hope we get J. Joseph, and Carr.
Nate Clements might be the stupidest good CB the Niners have ever had. And I say good meaning thats all he was, just good....over paid and boneheaded.

Good riddance.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the 49ers are one of the teams showing interest in free agent defensive back Johnathan Joseph.

Also in pursuit are the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Cincinnati Bengals.

San Francisco was not previously connected with Joseph and this may be a result of recent news that Houston has moved to the lead in the Asomugha sweepstakes. Joseph may be a fall-back option.

depending on the disparity in pay, I might like the Jospeph deal better. I just have a hard time paying one dude so much money when we have so many question marks.

Go big or go home.

You only go big (Dieon Sanders, Russ Francis etc when you are a couple players away from the SB, truth be told we are not there yet.

You go big when there is a clear need to improve a position that is ranked in the last quarter of the league. You obviously want to build a team through the draft, but we have failed badly in that department and there is no clear successor for that position in the near future.

This regime has only begun and you are labeling the past on the present. I don't believe the sins of the father should be heaped on as the sins of the son-Dr. York on Jed, McClueless on Ballke, and Nolan/Singletary on Jim Harbaugh.

If you bankroll the team now, you will live in mediocrity (mid-level) for years to come. This is a new year it was done before-I know a lot people want a Neon dieon kind of deal- but if JH and comapny are as good as we hope-why can't they pull off a R. Lott, Eric Wright, Carlton Williamson or McKyer and Griffin deal?
