According to the Detroit Free Press, the 49ers are one of the teams showing interest in free agent defensive back Johnathan Joseph.

Also in pursuit are the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Cincinnati Bengals.

San Francisco was not previously connected with Joseph and this may be a result of recent news that Houston has moved to the lead in the Asomugha sweepstakes. Joseph may be a fall-back option.

depending on the disparity in pay, I might like the Jospeph deal better. I just have a hard time paying one dude so much money when we have so many question marks.

Go big or go home.

Sounds more like "Go broke and go home."
I want some awesome at my corner!

So now that clements is gone.....and if we don't sign Nnamdi.....who do we have or do we get for CB?

RT @NateClements: I wud like to thank the 49ers organization for giving me the opportunity to play for a team with history and tradition.
thank goodness.

All I know is that when Nate didn't start or play last year at times, we really didn't miss him much. Now we get more money freed to sign other options.

Spikes was one player who was definitely missed when he was out. That position is of concern now.

Yeah I do too. Hopefully he restructures and comes back at a much lower price. I think with a pass rush, he would have been better for us.

Edit: not restructure but resign at a much lower price.
