How much more do we have to spend to get to the league required minimum ???

Where is that money going to go?

Franklin? Goldson? Lawson? Umenyiora? Floyd?

I mean, we get penalized if we don't spend it, so we might as well over-spend (at least we get a player or two or three as opposed to paying penalties).

I wish I could see the Harbaalke 'plan', it seems to be falling apart, whatever it was.

This years cap is officially set at 120.4M instead of previous 120M, and the minimum is 107M to be spent, cash wise, which i think is in current salaries, not including dead money.

Right now our regular 51 players committed are at 99M, then we have about $3M in dead space.

A little insight for future years, the cap is expected to be at least 120M over the next 3 yrs('11-'13). We are at $66M for 2012 right now. Not including draftees of course.

Now we will save atleast 10M on nate clements, either by cutting(which saves 14M) or restructuring his deal.

Norris, Carr, Haralson are possible cuts.

Without knowing exactly how much Akers and McDonald got this yr, i figure maybe 2M for Akers at the most and 4M for mcDonald. We have around 30M before that, so say 26M to spend.

Thats after all rooks are signed including UDFAs and all 10 picks. I have also included Alex's reported 5M salary. So we are in good shape.

Figure 120.4M - 26.0M = 94.4M in salaries and Dead Money, about 4M in dead space is on their.

So we need to spend at the 107M area by end of season, remember we need to end at 107 atleast and not at the beginning.

So $12.6M to spend to get their, but factor in other releases, so maybe 15-7M we need to spend which is easy, if we are able to get a FA or 2, hopefully. And maybe extend someone, not sure who but someone.

Update on 2012. We are at 75M in salaries before akers and mcdonald. So we are in good shape for next yr, but again we need to be more active.
