1. Sign as many of their own FAs as possible, sign FAs at RG, CB, QB, WR and NT (where ever value is found).

1. Trade would be iffy but they should always be looking. A sign and trade of our NT might be necessary money wise (if possible).

Do all at the same time...must multi-task or be left behind.

So you're done with Chilo?

No, but I don't want him to be the only option. If Heitmann comes back then he or Baas might be an option. Harbaugh's Stanford teams had a great deal of movement by the OLine and I don't know how that will translate with our current players. Would think experience will be more important...and intelligence.

I agree. Chilo needs to face some competition this year.

From an effort and conditioning level lately, I think Rachal will have a hard time competing with Adam Snyder for the starting RG job.

I'd like to see Heitmann back as interior depth, but that really depends on his recovery. We can likely stash those drafted OL on the practice squad if need be.

Agreed. Giving up on him would be condemning him without taking into account the miserably predictable scheme he's been playing in. All of our players suffer from both sides of the ball with inferior coaching that can not adjust a gameplan on the fly.

sign FA to the right position then try to resign our own players. I would love sidney rice Hes big wr i would trade crabtree for a big DT someone that can clog up the middle try to sign to up grade our dbs

That's true, but isn't it strange how some players still play well despite bad coaching?

Imagine how much more effective they would be given a better coaching situation! Justin Smith is one of my favorite players and is always around the ball. Same with Willis. Those two are great players and scheme doesn't matter too much, but does lessen their effectiveness.

Players who depend on the scheme have suffered the past two regimes and I would include DBs, QBs, and WRs. VD developed a rapport with Smith, which is why he has overcome (to say nothing of inhuman physical ability). Gore is pretty great but he should really benefit from the new system. He may set news heights in both receiving and running. Imagine him running wild in second halfs when the team is ahead!

If A Smith evolves (or CK emerges as a legit first year starter) the team will be transformed back to greatness. I'm sure we all hope so!
