it leaves carr on the sideline where he belongs. smith is better than carr and its not even close
I'm all for competition in camp. That said, I doubt that Carr wins that competition.

We could pick up terrible pryor in the supplemental draft!
What I am concerned about is David Carr's hat.
Carr will not make it outta training camp.

I concur with both sentiments. However, Roman did say after he was hired:

"David’s got a lot of unique skills and so does Alex. I think quarterbacks are very unique. I hate to take one and say he’s like another. You look at them individually… David’s a talented guy and we’ll see how it all fits together."

Much in the same way we would all defer to Harbaugh and co.'s expertise if they do go with Alex, I'm sure we would all be equally deferential in the unlikely event that they went with Carr instead, right?
I figure the fact that Harbaugh hasnt spoken one word about Carr the only signed QB on the team says quite a damn lot. Personally I haven't seen anything from Carr to get excited about. Let the competition begin ......
Carr makes Alex look like Joe Montana. He doesn't look like he deserves an NFL job above 3rd string to me....
His technique is ahead of it's time.

Three step drop and..........BANG!
