You could call it best chance or last chance. One of his best years was under Norv Turner. A guy with a clue about QB's. And Harbaugh is at least that good or even better. So I would expect the guy to respond. Ideally you would want 2 years under Harbaugh. Because that is what Alex needs. Stability. But he will get 1 and at least this guy knows QB's.

Kaepernick probably will be the future. But he has a really long way to go. He doesn't even take snaps from center and they ran the pistol offense. There is no guarantee he ever works out. I hope for the best. But we will see.

If Alex plays well and it's a big if IMO we will re sign him for longer.

Completion Percentage: 60%
Touchdowns: 32
QB Rating: 81.8

Really not so terrible considering most of this was under Sing/Raye.

I suppose not. Just trying to present a simple, fair and even assessment that shows both sides of the coin.

Point 1: Alex, even if you consider poor coaching, hasn't played well enough for a former first overall pick.

Point 2: At the same time, his numbers are not horrific like some would argue.. and have been respectable lately, despite the obvious coaching deficiencies that none here can say weren't there..

He most definately has not lived up to his potential. His numbers have been okay...and he has shown glimpses...but he does come up short more than anyone would like obviously...just hope that Harbaugh can coach him up and that he hasn't been ruined by years of bad coaching.
