The 49ers evidently didn’t draft all the small-school offensive linemen on their radar.
According to a source, the Niners put in draft call Saturday to Virginia Union’s David Mims and have interest in signing the 6-foot-8, 331-pound tackle

Purely developmental like Person and Kilgore.
If signed, I would have no issue not re-upping Wragge, and letting Baas or Heitmann go depending on preference by Harbaugh and Baalke.

Its good to have late round developmental OL on your team. It saves them from wasting first round picks on the OL. Back in the day the niners would never drafted that high as they have been doing that past 5-6 years. Early rounds should be used on skill position guys.

Anybody watch any full games with this guy? He may be big or strong, but Tony Mandarich showed that's not all it takes.

I would like to keep Baas. He offers value at OG and C.
