Dude we have no QB, and we are talking about bringing Alex Smith back. Yes we are that bad.

We could have won with Smith last year if we had a coach that knew what he was doing. Harbaugh hasnt coached in the nfl but he has head coach experience which Singletary never had.

Yep. If Harbaugh, a guy who has actually... you know... coached up QBs and has had success before says he thinks he can win with Alex Smith. I believe him.

If he can get even mediocre QB play (top 15-20), we will have a winning record.

Wow. Stop crowning Harbaugh already. He hasn't even held a practice yet.

I think you should read that more as the devaluing of a monday morning quarterback's opinion on quarterbacks. It'll take the opinion of a proven QB developer over a fan's opinion, every time.

Exactly. They forgot to put a huge asterisk next to all these games.

One thing to note here is that the schedule only has 16 games in it. That means the NFL and the Owners have given up on the 18 game season which was one of the main reasons factors in the lockout. Their will be football this year and the schedule is proof of that.

The 18 game schedule was never on the table for 2011 season. If they agreed on It it would begin in the 2012 season.

Are you sure about that? the 18 game season was to be apart of the new cba. why would you sign a cba based on a 16 games season(this year) and then change it to 18 games next year?

It was my understanding that the 18 game schedule was trying to be included in the current cba negotiations.

Yeah Harbaugh said he doesnt think an NFL team has ever had to do that. Travel across 3 time zones on such short rest.

We also play another short week in a Monday night to Sat game as well.

15 Mon, Dec. 19 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers ESPN 8:30 p.m.
16 Sat, Dec. 24 at Seattle Seahawks FOX 4:15 p.m.

We also have the third easiest schedule in the entire league and only have one road game against an opponent with a winning record last year. You're peering pretty deep into the mouth of this gift horse, imo.
