Being In Vegas, I've watched this guy murder UNLV for the last few years. I'm so excited to see what he can do for the 9ers. Seeing that letter he wrote when he was 11 made me even more excited. Hopefully he can sit for a year and be ready to start in 2012.
we need to find kap's doppleganger

Old quarterbacks can't move well enough to keep playing, but they can always throw a tight spiral. Harbaugh is no different. Competitive as ever, he challenged Kaepernick to a throwing competition during the pre-draft evaluation process. They competed to see which one could throw the sweetest spiral. They tested accuracy by throwing through goal posts. And because Harbaugh is no dummy, they never threw for raw distance.

I was thinking of Smith and Harbaugh out 'throwing a ball around' during the lock out. You got to love our coach when he can assess QBs this way, what other coach out there does this in assessing a potential player. We really have it in spades with Harbaugh and the QB position. I bit like what we had with Sing when he was just the linebackers coach.

Does this pick seem more Baalke than JB to anyone? Im sure JB signed off, but I cant shake the feeling that this is Baalkes way of saying "This is my guy, Im willing to give you one year with youknowwho, but then its Kaep time."

we paid Harbaugh good money to come here and save our franchise. hes the QB developing guru, and you think Baalke said "i know you prefer someone else, but im making the call here on a QB". dont think so. Harbaugh hand picked this guy for sure.
Make no mistake about it... This is Jim Harbaugh's guy! Trent Baalke was aggressive and did what it took to go get him.

who is jb

JB is Jack Bauer of course, he needs to sign off on our QBs or else.

Ive had little sleep I meant JH. I dont doubt Harbaugh signed off on Kaep, but I have this nagging feeling that Baalke pushed to draft a QB early much more than Harbaugh.

JH seems to be willing to sink or swim with Alex, Baalke is not.

Kap needs to do some squats, his real skinny below the waist.

I really like Kap's demeaner. Looks like a real humble kid.
Im super pumped right now. He wasn't my first choice, as i liked Dalton a little bit better and honestly didn't watch a lot on Kaep but after watching some more highlights i am jazzed. He's super athletic, can make a lot of throws, very mobile. HIs throwing motion really wasn't that bad to me, people made it out like he had a throw like molasses i didnt see it. All around very excited to see what Harbaugh can do with him.
NFL Network's analyst Charles Davis has two nicknames for Colin Kaepernick. He calls him "The Transformer" and "Optimus Prime."

Yeah what is it with that? Is it his helmet? His stats? I really would like to know.

Just looking at this run and thinking about Young and the NFL records he set as a running QB in the NFL, and how Michael Vick has some or most or all of those records.

Kaepernick could bring them back home to 9er town if it all works out.
