I remember we played Colin in highschool when I was on Johansen and he lit us up! I really hope this guy pans out he proved all of us out here wrong when he lit it up in college... Amazing day for the 209.

He's got the strongest arm too!

That video is lame. He's throwing from a roof. I can throw 500 yards from the top of a sky scraper.
The WAC sucks so I take his stats with a grain of salt.
That being said, in Harbaugh we trust, so for now I'm good with the pic.

Hey Kolohe, I apologize for giving people the impression that I'm attacking you. I think you're very sharp on your football prognostication and you may well be correct about Colin Kaepernick. He is raw and we've all seen college athletes with exceptional skill fail to become what we hoped they would be in the NFL. We shall see. That's the exciting part. Every year about this time, I get annoyed with all the second-guessing. I always hope for the best, but that shouldn't be confused by anyone around here with predicting the best will happen. The kid looks good to me. He seems like he's got the kind of combat-driven personality Harbaugh has. I still remember what a redass Harbaugh was as a player and even though he never played for the Niners, he was a player I liked to watch because he was such a fiery competitor. Hopefully, Harbaugh sees this in Kaepernick. I think it's mainly in the head. I think the reason Montana and Young were so great was mainly in their heads. My favorite picture of them is both of them together studying a couple of polaroids during halftime during the '88 season. We've all seen the picture. They are both just so fricking into it. It's a picture of them thinking, not playing. That's where the rubber meets the road. And, I'm not talking about regular intelligence. Alex Smith has that in spades. I'm talking about "football intelligence." Kaepernick just looks like a player to me. He looks like a badass. Let's hope he plays that way in the NFL.

You have something growing on you thinking about Kap?
Don't like Kappy. Way to close to "Krappy".

I like the name "Colin Kaepernick." I don't like these nicknames fans make up. If there's going to be a nickname, let it be the ones the players make up and then divulge to the media. Kappy? Come on. The guy is a badass. He's covered with tatoos. Kappy sounds like a cartoon character on Nickolodeon. In my book, "Kappy" just doesn't even begin to describe a kid like Colin Kaepernick.

But he has size, strength, great speed and a super strong arm. The best velocity at the combine. 6'4 1/2" 233 lbs. and near 4.5 flat. What's not to love about that? A guru like Harbaugh could turn this guy into a star. He has the best QB developer and all the athletic ability in the world. He needs to sit year one and just learn. Just learn snaps from under center, all the plays, get used to the speed of the game and get familiar with all the players around him. As a developmental guy I love the pick. We just need to manage him right this time. Not the way we did Alex.

but does he nedd the long elongated windup to generate that velocity?

he throws kinda sidearm, like 3/4 sidearm but harbaugh said in the conference that he doesnt care how he throws as long as he gets results. why change the way he throws if thats what made him the QB he is? i dont think itll be such a problem in a WCO.

Its cool GNielsen, people tend to get a little emotional, but hey its football you gotta expect it and except it. I'm just trying to not get too excited about Kaepernick just yet and will remain on the fence until he plays in a meaningful game.
