I know hes let us down but I always have felt bad for the guy. Imagine being so happy getting drafted #1 overall and then going to a dysfunctional franchise and having to learn a new system every year and deal with high ego coaches Nolan and Singletary. It is really not fair and it f**ks with your mind psychologically. I dont know how anyone could focus in that spot. Not to mention his shoulder injury setback and the loss of his best friend it is really a bad story. I think its just about as bad as Ryan Leaf. I dont see him being back in SF but I hope whatever happens he turns everything around for him. I will admit there was times I cursed at him and gave him blame but if there is anyone to really blame its the organization of how he was ran and put up with.

So to sum it up... this video is saying he stinks. I agree.

All the f ups, interceptions, fumbles, overthrown balls and lack of heart and leadership overtake the very very few flashes of why he was the 1st pick.

I'll be glad when this guy is finally off our team.

That's not really what I was saying. I think he'll be fine when he goes to a stable franchise with good, consistent coaching.

The video was just a reflection of what happened.

Hmm... I wonder why there are so many arguments about Alex Smith....

Fans have so much time and emotion invested in him that they don't even get the same message from a four minute video.

You simply can't stay objective. That's what the person who made the video seems to be trying to do... if I read and interpreted their post correctly.

Perhaps you could at least show them some respect and not put words in their mouth. I imagine that all 49ers fans have hated the last seven years. They have all had to watch the same seasons and the same losses. It doesn't matter what their opinion is or who they blame, it sucked for all of us.

All I ask is that you recognize that and be respectful. Especially when someone has put work into something and has the courage to share it with us.

So this isn't to make you look bad or anything, but you have to realize what your doing here, there have been millions of Alex Smith threads and I'm sure you've seen how they all turn out,

LOCKED, because people on this forum go nuts whenever they hear about him. My point is that we should focus on other key positions on our team and let the Alex situation work itself out. No more threads on this guy, I personally believe its all up to Harbaugh, whether he wants him here or not, its his decision.
