Great to hear from 2 legends of the game.. Jerry will always be my all time favorite 49er... Other then QB.. I miss the days of excellent wideouts. We haven't had a playmaker a wideout since TO left... As for his comments on the team... He's only saying what most of us know..

If he knew that Smith was a bust, he should have flown across the Country to the Draft to stop the phone or gone to the 49ers War Room to stop the Smith Pick BEFORE it happened.

Truth be told, everything I've heard from him over the years has been pretty consistent on Alex Smith. Even in his first 2 seasons, I never heard of Jerry giving him a ringing endorsement, the way he did Desean Jackson for example.
