Great, coach up Crabtree, Morgan, Ziggy, then draft Salas!

Yea, but you agree with me though huh.

i like salas but i was talking to some players and they were they were telling me salas has bad work ethic the man never lifts, and they thought pilares was better and more explosive.
Would love getting Salas because he is just crazy naturally talented but only if he performs well at the combine though. Would love to sign pilares undrafted since he probably wont be drafted due to his messing his knee up a bit in the bowl game

btw i like the hire

They should have made M.C. Hammer WR coach... you saw how he worked with Crabtree. He could show them some new moves.

I am soooooo stoked!

"If you learn patience and depth, you'll be a great receiver."

So needed so right now.
He has my birthday.
Just 21 years earlier.

Coordinated effort

Carroll met with receivers coach John Morton on Sunday to discuss the possibility of becoming offensive coordinator. After the Trojans' victory over UCLA on Saturday, Carroll said Morton was the front-runner to replace Steve Sarkisian, who is Washington's new head coach but will also remain with the Trojans through the Rose Bowl.

Morton, 39, worked for the Oakland Raiders from 1997 to 2004, coached at the University of San Diego in 2005 and worked on the New Orleans Saints' staff in 2006. He has been receivers coach at USC for two seasons.

"I've earned my stripes," Morton said, citing his experiences with head coaches Jon Gruden, Bill Callahan, Jim Harbaugh, Sean Payton and Carroll.

Morton's only experience calling plays came under Harbaugh at San Diego. He said he believes in a balanced offense and would not favor changes in the Trojans' scheme.

"There's a certain blueprint, a certain philosophy that they've had here for years," he said. "They've been successful doing it, I've learned it and there's no reason to change anything."

Incredible coaching personnel. Like to see an organizational chart of just his coaching staff when he gets through.

"Okay, Curly. It's 2nd and 3 at our 45. You are in charge of all running play calls between our 30 and the opponent's 30 when it's raining. What do ya say?"

"Jim, I got to refer that play to Moe. It's looks like a pass play is needed here. Unless you want to run a sweep. Then, we have to talk to Larry, our power sweep specialist."

Yep I like the hire too, Im all for rebuilding and getting some new faces in the coaching staff. Yep I think Pilares or Salas would be good, both are going to be in the slot, I think Salas is bigger, better hands, and can make the tough catch over the middle, but in open space and YAC I'd go with Pilares.

Aloha Cuz! We get more Hawaiians here den in Vegas! lol.

Anywayz, Morton seems to be a good hire. Im glad that free loafer Sullivan is gone. He was living on his belief that he molded Boldin and Fitzgerald intothe players they are today. If Morton can get Crabtree to live up to his potential and help Morgan,Ziggy and Ginn produce more it will be a successful hire.
