I can see the praise for Jed...but, as Harbaugh pointed out at the Friday press conference, it was Baalke who was the driving force during their long meeting. It's Baalke who's followed Harbaugh for seven years...scouting his players, attending games, practices, etc. Jed deserves credit for promoting Baalke...and having the sense to let his new GM lead the way to get Harbaugh signed.

jed wants to do good, just a bit inexperienced.. but he wants to do good n obviously he is trying... im down with it!!

I remember harbaugh said after speaking with jed and baalke he knew then he wanted to be here more than we probably wanted him to be here and york advised him to take his time weigh other offers and make his decision because he wanted harbaugh to know that we were the right fit and he had to want the niner coaching position. now that is ballsy but also that was right because you do want to hire someone and pay em 25 mil only if they really want the job. i wouldn't say much of this had to do with luck but moreso with proper execution. give the credit to jed and baalke not to luck, no pun intended

Cohn started an article about Jed that ended in talking about himself. Good start with a bad finish that left the taste of Cohn's ego.
