I'm not sure that's a plus.

No Singletary would NOT get Fired...or he'd have been fired long ago...the ONLY reason Signletary got fired was he couldnt get the team in the playoffs. Jed kept him around Only until they were eliminated had they beaten the rams...they'd have won the division and made the playoffs and if like Seattle today had gone and beaten the Saints forget it NO WAY then does Singletary get fired.

That depends. Sing was animated, but he was more belligerent than anything and that wasn't good [insert sing gif asking for a timeout ].

I agree, otherwise Singletary would've been fired after the 0-5 or 1-6 start like he should've been. I think Jed was hoping to avoid admitting his first hire was a mistake, and if we made the playoffs he and Singletary would've acted like it was a great accomplishment instead of sheer luck from being in an atrocious division the Buffalo Bills would've won.

No. Well, it depends on how deep we got into the playoffs.
If we lost the Wild Card and fired Singletary, we MIGHT have a shot at him. But he was hired within a week of his Orange Bowl victory.
If we won the Wild Card, but lost the Divisional game, and we still fired Singletary, I think he would've signed on with another team or decided to stay at Stanford by then.
If we won the Wild Card and Divisional game, we probably would keep Singletary.

If harbaugh is as good as many of us fans think he will be--it could end up the last 8 years were a blessing in disguise---we had to go through it to get Harbaugh.
Now the future should be a bright one.

most likely not as he would have made a decision prior to us being able to coax him in. but Sing still would have been fired and we would be out looking for someone else
thankfully we didnt make it, we have Harbaugh, and all this is mere speculation.

we'd be unable to get him b/c he'd have been signed by Denver or Miami, or even Stanford. Even if those 3 didn't get him by our game against New Orleans, they'd still have time cuz we'd have beaten the Saints.

We are all going to discover just how inept our coaching staff has been for the last 8 years. I just could not believe how poorly Mike S. was in preparing his team and himself for game day. His staff and those previous were atrocious. I don't believe we'll see Jimmy H. calling timeouts to instruct his QB because signals were not properly relayed. Incredibly bad coaching, and that includes Nolan and Erickson.
The Front Office had to see how poorly Mike S. was prepared on game day. Didn't they?
