Sidney Rice wouldn't be so bad either.
hes a FA this year? he would be dope too. is he the one who gets migraines or is that harvin?
That's Harvin. He's the one who missed half the year because of a bad hip. But he's still really good, relatively young, and 6'4'' and very fast with good hands.
Someone like a month ago posted a thread with veteran WR FA's and seems unlikely to get one but V Jax or Sidney rice would be my top two. Sidney rice is very overlooked in the league dude can go up and take jump balls. Get great separation with his routes and great speed. In the earlier thread the Op suggested a vet is what crabs needs some competition and a watch and learn approach during Tc and practice. I couldnt agree more. Still i doubt it but heres to dreaming.

It depends upon who's throwing it. He didn't have any problems catching Troy Smith's passes.

Morgan only caught 9 of Troy Smith's passes in 6 games (2 passes in the second game against the Rams were all from Alex Smith.) There was no real connection between Troy Smith and Josh Morgan. That long TD exception was an exception not the norm.

Dude Morgan's stats were nonexistant with Troy at QB. Troy Smith is not a very good QB, and you're wrong on this one.

Just a random opinion, but with Harbaugh taking it back to the roots, I think Jerry Rice is destined to be a WR's coach or something. I think Morgan and Crabtree would flourish with Jerry Rice as their coach, compared to Jerry Sullivan.
k that's my 2cents.

I think they are both good YAC WR that could thrive in the WCO. Crabtree definitely has better playmaking abilities as Morgan does not seem to play consistently. I would rather see a big WR opposite of Crabtree that could stretch the field and get major YAC, where Crabtree could focus on getting the difficult yards or the underneath and short passes which he thrived on in college.

Jerry is still in better shape so he would run them into the ground and then teach them to run through the play...past the whistle. Wouldn't that be fun? I might have to go to practices if that happened.

I would love for JR to come back and be a WR's coach. If anyone can get these clowns of players we call WR's to actually play football and not give up on passes it would be JR.

Crabtree would probably tell Jerry how many more yards he would have had if he had played with Joe and Steve.

Need smart WR that know how to run routes and can adjust when they see a def shift change and change their routes consistently according to the shifting def. We don't have that right now on this roster to run a West coast offense.

This whole team is going to improve. Stop dogging Crabtree because he hasn't been coached like he is going to be coached now. This whole team is going to take strides and I am so excited. GO NINERS!!

LOL...in all seriousness though, I think that Morgan is getting a lot of sh!t in here but the dude had 700 yards--not bad considering our offense/QB situation. There are just a lot of plays that make you kinda shake your head.
I think better and more consistent QB play will make our WRs look better. Morgan has a place on this team, I'm just not sure if it is as a starter. He doesn't look like a slot WR to me so I dunno.
