Why the 2010 season was a failure

There's many people questioning the Baalke signing. There's many people pointing the finger at the entire front office. Step back to the end of preseason. We were undefeated, projected by many to run away with the west, have a solid winning season and make a decent run in the playoffs. These were all legitimate predictions considering the draft we had, the talent we had on both sides of the ball, and the HC that possessed poise, motivation, and aggression. Well the season showed up, players quit, OC demoted, and our HC was in over his head. The one common denominator obviously was Singletary. The point here is, step away from the heavy criticism of the front office and put all the focus on the new HC. He is going to make or break next season not so much the GM. At this point the main office will be more according rather than stubborn

yes and Harbaugh which we just found out is meeting at an undisclosed location today, will bring his own coordinators providing we sign him

I think it was a combination of two things.

1. A lack of gameplanning and inability to make adjustments during the game.
2. The players very quickly stopped having fun and began to play "tight."

2008: Jed hires Singletary as the interim instead of Martz, who was a Super Bowl HC. Big mistake.

End of 2008: Jed hire Singletary full-time as HC without interviewing other Candidates.

2009: Sing fires Martz, hires Raye. Offense sucks all the way until he is fired. Then it sucks a little less.

2010: Raye fired, Sing not fired soon enough. Losing season ensues. Sing fired.

We should never have hired Sing as the interim, in my opinion.

Exactly all due to the HC, not the GM! i wish people would stop drilling Baalke. thats where our failure came from singletary
