All we had to do was beat the Rams last week and we would have been the divisin champs. But Singleterry couldnot get it done.

Another dissapointing year under the Yorks.
They're still one of the least talented teams in football.. their OLine is garbage besides Okung .. their WRs are garbage besides BMW .. their RBs are garbage .. Hasselbeck is injury prone .. they have a bottom 5 defense .. annnnnnd they're gonna be picking 21st in the draft.

They may have won the 2010 division .. which I will congratulate them on ... but it won't be difficult at all to jump them in the division next year assuming we get a somewhat competent head coach.

they would have won even without our "castoffs" so Im not sure exactly what your point is. I think everybody and their grandma's dog already knows that it takes good coaching to win in the NFL.

Balmer is a bust plain and simple. Glad he's no longer here.

Michael Robinson is a good special teamer but players like him are often victims of the 53-man roster limit.
we should have kept Robinson as our #3 QB and cut Carr's sorry ass. At least Robinson would have been able to contribute on ST.

This
I completely disagree with you. Robinson, Lewis and Balmer made very little difference on that Seattle team.

Seattle won this sorry division because Singletary and his coaching staff did not know how to prepare for a weekly grind in the NFL. He and Raye and Johnson had absolutely NO idea how to put together a game plan against our opponents.

The game plan was Gore. That was it.

I agree with other posters that once we get a competent coach who knows how to strategize and put our players in a position to win matchups, we win this division easily.
Some dude in NFL talk picked the Seadawks to win it with his pre season predictions...everyone laughed at him, he has the last laugh now lmao.

found it

The point is that with better coaching and front office decisions, even a team with our "castoffs" and a team of equal or lesser talent made it to the playoffs.

Everyone was right about the NFC West this year and why we should have won it. It was every bit as weak, if not weaker, than expected. The only problem was that we were as bad or worse as every other team in it, not significantly better as predicted.

The final pieces to Seattle's NFC West victory were our also-rans.

And we couldn't even beat the RAMS to give ourselves a shot to win the division.

So now, as we seem on the verge of promoting Baalke, and if we get our wish hiring Harbaugh, we will, for the third time in a row, be taking an unproven coach with NO NFL head coaching experience and a GM with NO NFL GM experience and expecting them to magically know how to coach/run an NFL team at a championship level.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

they're still a 7-9 team.....just for the record
So after the whole season is over you came here to tell us that coaching is important?

Thanks for the news flash.
