Is TKO telling us he's gone?

Let him go, he's one of my favorite free agents for awhile and deserves to be apart of a successful team.

This is telling me that Baalke will be GM for sure, why else would he have the impression that he would be gone?

Sounds to me like he wants to play for someone that is a contender.

This

that or he's staying and he's an alex smith lover.
I really hope he signs with a team like the Patriots or Colts. Dude needs to get to the post season while he could still walk..
bet you he ends up in STL or Seattle

insignificant. nice to have , but we have bigger problems.

Not insignificant at all....it leaves a pretty big hole in the linebacker unit. Who fills that void? Navarro Bowman? At the very least, we'll need to look into free agency to bring in a capable vet replacement.

it will b alrite. p-willy drew so much attention, it was inevitable the "other guy" would make plays. a little disrespectful to a great player in TKO, but that "void" u speak of was going to have b filled soon anyway. the mlb unit is the least of my worries on this defense.

At least I can say that Takeo Spikes was never the problem with this team. Hard worker, class act....if this is it for him, the 49ers will be the poorer for it.

Agree with every word of this statement. Takeo was great, but it appears we want to bring up the young blood to start next year. Regardless, I still see no reason why we wouldn't want him as depth. He wouldn't mind splitting time.

He'll be very much missed.

I'm sorry but it shows how little you and most fans understand about the game of football. You are talking about a player that is a great leader, inspiration, team player, influence, plays 100% all the time and is playing lights out and one of the best players on our defense.

His hunger is infectious and his passion is awesome, Patrick Willis the center piece of our defense is better with him there, plays better and is happier with him there.

You don't know crap.
We were lucky to have him.

I dont have twitter, but does he have email address? I really respect that guy.
I'm gonna miss him
I hope he doesn't retire. Even if he doesn't stay with us, he's been a great player and I'd like to see em get a chance in the playoffs. Pats took Junior Seau out of San Diego when everybody said he was all but done, and gave him the best years of his career. Maybe they'll give TKO a look in the off-season, he's still got a lot to offer a 3-4 like that. Jerod Mayo would love playing next to TKO, and it looks like he meets all the points on the Hoody's Ted LB'er checklist:

-smart
-physical enough to take on and shed linemen
-tackles well
-super cheap for a vet

Not necessarily in that order. Throw in TKO's very decent ball skills and he'd be a real contributor to any good 3-4 out there. He's still fast enough in my eyes to get it done, I'm not really sure where this "too slow" stuff comes from. Slowed down: sure; but too slow to play Ted?
Man one of the best lb's I have ever seen play the game, right up there with Ken Norton JR and kevin Greene. We will miss you buddy.
when he says we

he could be referring to:

Himself
Nate Clements
Dashon Goldson
Manny Lawson
Aubroyo Franklin
