OJ Simpson actually did play for the 49ers, and we didn't get the prime version either:
Apparently this was his best run throughout his stint as a Niner.
Now that being said, even a completely used up Simpson was better than Cortez

Druckenmiller was drafted in the first round (26th overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. LOL! I remember the big hoopla about picking him up.
There's a difference between picking up a quality player who's been out due to injuries and picking up a washed up player.
Problem was the 49ers GM at that time didn't know the difference.
The 49er's went something like 2-14 both years he was there.
Mr. Walsh had him during his first year with the niners.
