Meaning no disrespect to any former backs we have had, Frank is my favorite.

The article said he needs 931 yds to be the all time leading Niners rushing leader. Hopefully that happens this year. That's about the yardage I'm expecting from him this year.

Barring injury or a continued lockout, I fully expect Gore to have well over a thousand rushing yards and half as many receiving yards.

I had not been paying attention to this, that's awesome. I can see Gore missing 2 or 3 games (or an accumulation of such) this year, but I still think he sets that record.

Love me some Frank Gore. I wonder if he's coming in extra lean this year....

As per the norm, I expect the same but hoping for a full 16 from this beast.

Didn't realize he only has 931 yards to go before becoming the 49ers all-time leading rusher.

For an organization that has done nothing to help this dedicated, talented player reach the postseason/Super Bowl, I'm hoping he can at least hang his hat on the fact that he'll be the franchise leading rusher.

A small consoloation, as I'm sure he'd rather play in the postseason. No one, including Patrick Willis, deserves success more than Gore in my opinion.

There is no doubt about that, Frank deserves better than he has gotten from this franchise. Hopefully the lockout can be resolved and he can help lead the team to the playoffs.

It would truly be a shame to have ALL of this guy's prime wasted on such a garbage team.

I always say, God only knows what he could have done on a team with an effective playcaller/passing game. He's consistently the focal point of the opposing defense's effort and yet he still consistently makes plays.

On even a semi-competent offense, he'd be a HOF candidate in my opinion.

I think he has a few years left in him, maybe now that we have a coach that knows a little about offense we can get some balance and hopefully better play from the qb position. If Harbaugh can get just a minimal improvement out of Smith, we should be able to make a playoff run. I just hope the greedy people can work out how to divy up the loot in time for our new staff to get everything ironed out.

When you consider some of the predictability , play calling , OL play in the past , Franks been amazing , I agree this is a player who really deserves to see the postseason soon.

Not so quick Freddy

Frank, hopefully, won't be Barry Sanders.

Having Dix and Hunter will hopefully preserve his career

I like Gore, but his days are numbered. Dorks managed to ruin his football career with stupid coaches and offensive philosophies. Shame!
Honestly, I think 2011 will be his last season as a 49er.
