OK,

Instead of speaking in generalities, give me an example of being cheap since Jed has been in the building.

All I've seen is a team willing to spend on Free Agents (nate Clements, Justin Smith), paid to get rid of GMs and coaches when it wasn't working (Donahue, Erickson), resigned their own players early to keep them happy (Frank Gore, Patrick Willis, Vernon Davis), and completely upgraded teh training faciltiy on 4949 Centential Blvd.

The only places where you can even make that complaint is coaching, but I don't think money was the issue in hiring Singletary. I think Jed fell prey to thinking they could make it work based on the late season improvement in Sings first year.

So...I've given you specifics. Give me some that say they've been cheap since Jeds been there.

Better question, what HAS he done to give you the impression that it has changed? It may be a coincidence but he had 2 1st rounders and used them both on the cheapest position. And unless he's been drinking that Alex kool-aid, he should've spent some money and gotten a QB. Yeah they've spent money, but I guarantee you it's alot less then 75% of the winning teams!

wow. dodge questions and speculate much?

Gave you the biggest example you should need. That's ok. You take the word of a good speaker. Look where that got us with head coach. Actions speak louder then words.

yet sometimes Hand me downs can get old and we have to get up, get dressed and go get the good stuff. the stuff that may hurt our wallets but help us appreciate what hard work is all about.

Refurbished: 49ers

I fill like the 49ers as of Right now are a refurbished team, our organization has tried to fix the broken parts for years now an from the outside perspective things have looked good but in the inside those old parts are still broken and decrepit.

New: Chiefs

I believe the Chiefs did it the right way.they through away the old losing staff and players and purchased the new winning staff and personal and although they are not as good as they could be, The evidence of there change is displayed on the field of play.

Our problems have nothing to do with our head coach or Alex Smith they never have and never will. This has always been about cutting corners and trying to save money in any form or fashion. Our ownership is willing to lose on the field if that means winning at the bank!

I hope that this off season includes TNT because the demolition needs to begin asap.

Cheifs are just as referb as we are from top to bottom;

General Manager; Scott Pioli, came from the pats.

Head coach; Todd Haley got plucked from AZ. True this is his first run as a HC but it's not like he was a guy hired straight out of college.

Offensive Coordinator; Charlie Weis ex-pats OC, former ND head coach.

Defensive Coordinator; Romeo Cernel ex-pats DC, former Browns head coach.

Starting QB; Matt Cassel former patriot, drafted by the hoodie.

Pleanty of retread players; Thomas Jones former bear and jet. Leonard Pope former Cardinal, Mike Brown former Bear, Matt Vrabel former Patriot, Chris Chambers former dolphin and charger, Ryan Lilja former Colt.

If you want a true home grown team look at the Indianappolis Colts. Now I'm not saying Scott Pioli didn't put a good team together, because he did. I'm just saying that we need to take more of an Indy mentality and build out team through strong drafts and very rarely picking up free agents.

That statement lost me because it has so much to do with Alex and Singletary. If Singletary would have wanted a better Veteran Qb instead of two Gilligan island castaways Jed and the front office would have paid to get them. Singletary was sold on Alex and his 1985 offensive game plan and both have failed.
Its no use

ROTFLMAO!!!!!

WOW. Just.....WOW.

Where do I start.....

#1: they made a move the year before in order to HAVE 2 first round picks. They wouldn't do that if money was an issue.

#2: They TRADED UP 2 spots in the first round to take Anthony Davis. That makes him MORE EXPENSIVE.

#3: Since when is a potential LEFT TACKLE one of the cheapest positions on the field? If thats what you think, you really haven't been playing attantion. As for Iupati....they took Davis and Iupati because their biggest weakness was the O-Line. Iupati has also been their best draft pick so far.

#4: Spend it on a QB? What QB? Who could they have selected where they were or who could they have signed? McNabb? Ya, thats worked out well in Washington. You kinda have to have a player to spend money on to spend the money.

Bottom line, they Niners are NOT spending like a cheap team even tho they don't have the revenue streams those "other" teams get from their new stadiums.

Seriously dude, do a littel research before you pop off on a forum. Its all good to have an opinion, but at least be equipped to defend it.

Dude, you have to have a little thicker skin than this. These guys are just giving you a hard time because your post isn't very well thought out and seems more like random musings regarding topics that have been discussed ad nauseum on this forum as opposed to a coherent, substantive and compelling point.

No big deal, though...you just need to come a little stronger next time. Sit back, get a feel for the kinds of posts that are made and learn from them. You'll be fine.
