Simple: Do you want us to make the playoffs or not?

If they go to the playoffs then their draft pick will go from around 8th to no less than 21st. I say no!

Not sure I can just outright say no, but I do know that this organization is a joke right now, and it would only serve as a bigger joke for us to make it to the playoffs with a 7-9 record. IMO, the playoffs are a reward for excellence during the season, not divisional mediocrity.

Why would someone not want the 49ers to make the playoffs?If we make the playoffs, I still think Sing should and would get fired along with all the other coaches.

If I had to choose between us not making the playoffs and Sing getting fired vs us making the playoffs and Sing staying as coach, I would rather miss the playoffs and get Sing(and all the coaches) fired.

Hell ya, I'm rooting for us to make the playoffs. Just because Ann Killion says so doesn't mean Singletary will be retained and Alex Smith will be our starting QB next season if we make the playoffs.

Anyone who follows this team can tell you that we need changes at both QB and HC and if Jed York can't see it then he must either be blind or dumb. Jed York deserves a lot more credit than he's getting, he just needs to get out of the weeds that his father put him in.

This team is long over due for making the playoffs and the fans are desperate to see some kind of success/progress coming from the 49ers (futile as it may be) after many years of mediocrity.

If Sing still gets fired? Hell yeah.

If it means Sing stays? Nope.

I absolutely could care less about anything with this team until they start heading in the right direction.

You guys realize that the Niners will forever be remembered in the Hall of Shame if we make it with a 7-9 record. The league may change the rules because of our division.

P.S. I'm too short sighted, I want the Niners to make the playoffs!

...or he can be like his uncle. It's still too early to tell. When he first took over this team from his father he basically inherited his dad's f**k ups and now he has to fix them. I think after this season we will have a better idea of how Jed runs things.

We would be the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs with a losing season. No way!

'Nuff said. What would the players say if fans walked up to them and said, "I want you to lose and not make the playoffs."? I'm sure they'd be nice with their responses, but inside I bet they'd be thinking "what the hell kinda fan are you?".

I absolutely want us to make the playoffs. Even if the big picture of drafting a top player at the position of need is enticing, I can't for the life of me actually watch a 49er and hope we get scored on, throw picks, go 3 and out, etc. My brain just doesn't work that way.
