IIRC, Snyder plays decent at guard. He is just terrible at OT!

We should sue Mike Nolan for that 2008 draft;
@ pick 29 we take Kentwan Balmer when we could have had;
Kenny Phillips- I know he has had some injuries but maybe if he comes out west his luck is better and stays healthier. Considering out secondary has been crappy for a while this would have been a better pick imo.
Brandon Flowers- A very solid corner, not really sure how he slipped into the second round. We obviously could have used him then and now.
Curtis Lofton- I don't know if we just settled because we have Willis or what but we obviously need someone next to Willis in the middle to run a 3-4. Spikes has been good for us but he is obviously stop gap. Why not go long term, and shore up the middle of our defense with two blue chip MLB's?
Some other notable players were drafted after we drafted Balmer, but I just named the ones who addressed needs we had then and now. I know it's hard to say what if, but this isn't even a what if thing. Flowers, Lofton, and Phillips were all highly touted players.
Not only did we misfire on D.Jax but we passed on Eddie Royal as well for Chilo. I could see if we passed on D.Jax for character issues but then why not draft Royal. We drafted his teamate Josh Morgan a few rounds later, someone had to see Royal on film.

Here's the kicker: Jackson trained with Jerry Rice, and Rice lobbied hard for the Niners to select him. As if Rice knows nothing about football.

Reminds me of when Bill Walsh wanted us to take Jake Plummer. He didn't have a HOF career, but he did pretty decent in Arizona and Denver. We never seem to take the advice of our past greats.

The sad part is that if D Jack was a 49er he would probably be considered just a kick returner because our offensive offense wouldn't get him the ball, and he just is not big enough for our "ground Chuck" style of offense.
