I call it realism. The Chargers will make Alex Smith look like the 3rd string scrub he is, but that will still only quiet the delusional for a few days.

The record shows that the Raiders, Seahawks, and Rams beat the Chargers. We beat all three of those teams, I see no reason why we can't beat the Chargers as well. I think Alex can go for a solid 200, and 1 or 2 tds, with the running game doing the rest.

Here's our recent track record:

Took care of the Lambs followed with a beat-down by Buccaneers: Whipped the Cardinals one week and got embarrassed the following week in Green Bay; we just b***h-slapped seasluts... what now (in San Diego)?

I'm hoping we pound the run game on them, get a few big plays in the air and get the defensive effort that we got against the Falcons and last Sunday against Seattle, minus the mistakes. Anything other than that we might as well hope we all end up with 7-9 records and get the tie-breaker.

Unless the Chargers poop on themselves, we'll end up almost as bad a the Chiefs last Sunday.

More likely Rivers will expose the secondary. But the Niners are due. Somehow I think they are going to find a way to get it done tomorrow night.
