This is actually not true.. There are some circumstances in which they may not go inside. Just FYI...

This is actually not true.. There are some circumstances in which they may not go inside. Just FYI...

This is actually true. It is done incorrectly so often, it is becoming accepted. But there are no circumstances that make it correct, except in British English (commas and periods outside quotes, unlike American English).
