Things may get ugly if we don't win vs. Seattle

We know the players are frustrated with Singletary's philosophy of "Smash Mouth" football, but nobody has spoke out against the poor coaching of the team. If we lose tomorrow, I can see some of the players finally showing their frustration of this highly anticipated year. If we lose, we are officially eliminated from the playoffs, and I think that will be the breaking point for some of our players to show their frustration. What do you guys think?

It's already ugly. If we lose, all it means is that we can slam the door shut on this era of niner football.

I completely agree with you! This game, as well all know so the players MUST KNOW, is a must-win game. We are at home against a Division leader! No they are not a typical division leader but they are who they are.

With that said, they are also a HORRIBLE road team. If we find a way to revert back to this pre-historic, "up the gut, impose our will because that is what worked in '85 but never seemed to work again in my career even with one of the best running backs to ever play the game" Mike Singletary offense, things will get ugly VERY QUICKLY.

They have to switch it up and see what happens because a loss today will bring a very turmoil ride to the end of the season. Players not going 100 %, meaningless stats being put together, lack of respect pouring out of the players bodies. I think it will be very crazy, perhaps entertaining in a sick way but very ugly to say the least

to the original posters point. I agree if we lose and run a boring run up the middle play it close smash mouth 1980s Sing bulls**t game the players may crack.

Interesting tidbit from a Rod Brooks interview with Vernon a couple of days ago.

Brooks: "how do put forth to your team mates that 'we still have to get this done and we have to ride with our coaches and the guys who are here right now'?"

Vernon: "You know what? First of all we have to ride with each other. We have the coaches on our side, but at the same time...we're gonna...we as team mates, we're gonna always be here together you know. We're gonna be here longer than all the coaches, so we have to do it all together. We have to look at this as a new season and we have four games to play and have to win them all."

If we lose vs SEA I can see people possibly getting fired.

It's been ugly, now it's headed towards f**ked up. Next!
