Do you switch Staley and Davis tackle spots?

Just wondering what yall thought of this idea? I think Davis has more upside and potential at left tackle and Staley is better suited at the right T spot. Thoughts?

I think it's something that should be explored. Davis is better going to his left and Staley has just plain struggled at LT. I'd seriously think about doing it next year.
I can think of no better way to enssure Alex Smith does not return next year
naw Davis is pretty good at TE.

Davis is finally coming into his own at right tackle. He handled mathews last week and I'd like to see him stay there for rest of the year.

No. I think you let the continuity occur between Staley-Iupati and Rachal-Davis. They will all look better with a better QB and offensive system.
I'd definitely pit them against eachother for the spot next training camp. Everybody knows that the big sweet $ is made protecting the blind side, so I think we'd get a good honest run out of both of em. Throw Boone a piece of that competition too and I think we'll see a real fight then. I'd actually pay to see that scenario play out in camp.

With the QBs we have on the roster, I want the weaker player protecting his blind side. The sooner we kill these guys off the better.

See the "49ers Total Access" show where they had Staley as a guest. Staley said he is not comfortable on the right side and that it was "weird" for him. Why do it??

In April.

DANADA, I've got a mini countdown going on in the Fire Singletary Thread. I kind thought you find it by now.

Nothing could make Rachal look better, he has 0 football instincts, he's Kwame at RG basically.
